Open Binance API Management
Sign in to Binance.com, click the profile icon and choose Account. This is where you create credentials for TradingView webhook automation through TradeAdapter.
- Binance requires 2FA, intermediate verification, and at least one deposit to your Spot Wallet before it will let you create an API key
Create a new API key
Select Create API to start a new key for no-code trading automation with TradeAdapter.
Choose system-generated key
Pick System generated, which uses HMAC and hands you an API key and a secret key. The Self-generated option issues an Ed25519 or RSA key pair instead, and TradeAdapter signs Binance requests with HMAC — a self-generated key will not work.
Label the API key
Add a clear name such as TradeAdapter so you can recognize this key later across Spot, Margin, or Futures routes.
Complete security verification
Finish Binance 2FA (authenticator, SMS, or your enabled methods) before restrictions and permissions are applied.
Set API restrictions and IP whitelist
This step secures TradingView to API broker execution. Restrict the key to TradeAdapter and enable only the markets you plan to automate.
- Enable Spot & Margin and/or Futures permissions based on your strategy
- Do not enable withdrawals for automation keys
- Choose Restrict access to trusted IPs only — Binance deletes a key that is left unrestricted once any permission beyond Reading is enabled
