TRADINGVIEW STRATEGY OPTIMISER

TradeOptimiser: optimise TradingView strategy parameters in Chrome

A Chrome extension that runs your TradingView strategy's backtests across different input values and ranks the results by the metric you choose — so you tune settings from data instead of trial and error.

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps from a strategy to tuned settings

1. Install

Add TradeOptimiser to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.

2. Open your strategy

Load the TradingView strategy you want to tune on a chart, with its Strategy Tester report.

3. Choose metric and method

Pick the metric to optimise, such as Total P&L, and the search method, such as random search.

4. Run and apply

Run the optimisation, apply the best-performing inputs and backtest again before going live.

Optimise, then automate

Tuned in TradingView. Executed by TradeAdapter.

TradeOptimiser works with TradingView's own strategy backtests, so results come from the same tester you already use. Build the strategy with TA Strategy Builder, tune its inputs here, then send the strategy's alerts to your broker through TradeAdapter.

  • Runs in Chrome on TradingView
  • Your metric, e.g. Total P&L
  • Your method, e.g. random search

USE RESULTS CAREFULLY

The best backtest is not a forecast

Prefer stable settings

Settings that stay profitable across nearby values are more robust than a single sharp peak.

Check other periods

Backtest the chosen inputs on a period and symbol the optimisation did not see.

Paper trade first

Validate on a demo or testnet account before automating real orders.

FAQ

TradeOptimiser questions

A Chrome extension from the TradeAdapter team that automates parameter optimisation for TradingView strategies: it runs backtests across input values and shows which combinations perform best.

TradingView strategies — scripts that produce a Strategy Tester report. An indicator without strategy results has nothing to optimise.

You choose the target metric in the extension, for example Total P&L, and the search method, for example random search.

No. Optimisation finds the inputs that fitted past data best, which can overfit. Check the settings on other periods and paper trade before going live.

Create a TradingView alert on the strategy and set its webhook to TradeAdapter, which places the orders at your API broker or MetaTrader 4/5 account.

They are designed to work together: build the strategy with TA Strategy Builder, tune its inputs with TradeOptimiser, then automate the alerts with TradeAdapter.
