TRADINGVIEW WEBHOOK AUTOMATION

TradingView to MT5 and MT4 automation

Turn TradingView strategy and indicator alerts into orders in MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4. The TradeAdapter Expert Advisor in your terminal places them on your broker account — no MQL code to write.

HOW IT WORKS

Connect TradingView to MetaTrader in three steps

Allow it to trade

Enable Algo Trading, allow WebRequest for https://mt.tradeadapter.com, attach the Expert Advisor to a chart and paste your TradeAdapter API key.

WHAT IS SUPPORTED

What the Expert Advisor does

Any symbol your MetaTrader broker offers — forex, indices, metals or crypto CFDs — on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.

Stop loss and take profit

Sent with the alert, in percent or pips.

Partial position closing

Close part of an open position from a TradingView alert.

Order size control

Take the size from the alert, or set and scale it in the Expert Advisor settings.

Symbol mapping

Trade a MetaTrader symbol that is named differently from the TradingView one.

FAQ

TradingView to MetaTrader questions

Yes. TradingView sends the alert to your TradeAdapter webhook URL, and the TradeAdapter Expert Advisor running in your MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4 terminal places the order on your broker account. Strategy and indicator alerts are supported.

Yes. The Expert Advisor runs inside your terminal, so MetaTrader has to be running with Algo Trading enabled when an alert arrives. Most traders keep it on a VPS.

Any MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 account whose broker allows Expert Advisors, including prop firm accounts.

Enable Algo Trading and allow WebRequest for https://mt.tradeadapter.com under Tools, Options, Expert Advisors.

Map it: the MT5 Expert Advisor has a TradingView_Symbol input for exactly this, and the FAQ answer on aligning TradingView and MetaTrader symbols covers both terminals.

Webhook alerts need a TradingView plan that includes webhooks. The alert is sent from TradingView's servers, so your browser can be closed.
